I started my first campaign a couple of weeks ago. I was about to level up and I found out the limitations with the free account and the marketplace for purchasing the books.
I already bought a physical copy of the player's handbook and Xanathar guide and I don't want to buy the digital version of the same thing.
I also noticed that you can purchase single items for 2 bucks each.
Here is my question: which items should I buy for playing a full campaign of a druid of the circle of the moon without buying the full digital books? Does it even make sense? Also, can I redeem the money spent for single items if I decide to buy the digital books in the end?
Depending on what spells you want to use, you might want to purchase either individual spells or the spell bundles. actually you could start out buying individual spells as needed, and only by the spell bundle from a given book when the price drops to $4 or so....(The minimum they can charge is $1.99, so you want to make sure you don't let the bundle price drop below that before buying). Each time you buy a spell from a particular book (like the PHB), the price for the spell bundle (and the entire book) will drop by the amount you spend.
Currently there is no way to buy piecemeal on this website anymore. This used to be a feature but is no longer the case as far as I am aware.
If you know someone with the physical books you can homebrew the subclass but this does require extra effort and the homebrew creator is not the most user friendly thing on the site.

You would just purchase the Circle of the Moon itself for $2, and if you do it’ll count as $2 credit towards the purchase of the whole book.
