Has anyone else, who uses a chromebook, lost access to the app recently. Admittedly, it has been a few months that I used my chromebook. Now it's telling me to update the app but when I go to the Google play store, that's tell me that dnd beyond is no longer supported on my device.
So here's my question. Is it a bug that needs to be patched, or maybe WOTC decided to cut off access, or is it coming directly from Google. The whole reason I got my chromebook was to be able to host game nights from that device rather than opening the website; I prefer downloading my books just incase the internet goes out mid session.
This totally sucks, the whole purpose of the app is to be able to have a reference for the books when no WiFi is available Telling someone the "Work Around" is to go to the website when they don't have access to the web is ridiculous. I depend on that app to run games at local venues, charity events and conventions where the internet is either unavailable or so horribly slow and/or overtaxed.
This needs to be addressed or I will really have no use for the Master Tier Subscription since I will be forced to lug the books everywhere with me.
Actually, I updated my Chromebook yesterday (now running Version 147.0.7727.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and the dndbeyond app does not work anymore. Rediculous. That was a nat 1 by Wizards of the Coast
Folks, Google is at fault here. They changed something or broke the Android code again. If they changed something it will take DDB a little time to adjust their code, if Google broke the Android code again there is nothing DDB can do to fix it.
I'm not downplaying the issue for those trying to play today, it will be very inconvenient to use a phone or whatnot but it isn't DDB that caused this one.

ModeratorI would assume that's based on the OS version rather than the fact it's a Chromebook. When's the last time you updated your OS?
