It started as the official "Outlander" background, but I swapped around the skills and tools.
When I save it, it is correctly showing as only allowing "Cartographer's Tools" for tool proficiency. However, when I try to apply it to a character, it has that toll AND asks to select a musical instrument--something the original Outlander background had.
I have checked and triple checked that there is only one entry under tool proficiency, but it insists that there is also a musical component.
I tried creating a homebrew background called, "Cartographer"; it can be found here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/backgrounds/32159-cartographer

How can I remove this extra selection?
I'm also having this exact same problem.
May you always roll 20s
I think it’s a bug in the system. If I’m remembering correctly, it’s been reported to staff and it’s on the list to be fixed.
