how to add ability score modifiers to rolls in homebrew

How do you add ability score modifiers to rolls in homebrew? Thanks

That really all depends on way too many things that you haven’t mentioned. What kind of Homebrew? What kind of roll? Etc.

It is a subclass for monk. I'd like to add my wisdom modifier onto an unarmed strike's damage roll.

It should be the following Modifier:

Modifier: Damage->Subtype: Unarmed Strikes->Ability Score: Wis

After you save the Modifier, you MUST re-save the entire subclass using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system won’t pick it up.
