When choosing the human variant in the character creator, and selecting the drop-down menu... no options for feats are presented. Not one. Alternatively when reaching level 3 on my rouge character the only Archetype available in the drop-down menu is 'Thief'. Thank you for providing us with this amazing tool! but why won't it work?! Thank you ^_^
Have you purchased the “Full Version” (or any of its sections) of the PHB from this website’s Marketplace? Only the free Basic Rules* are available without purchase. Those only include one Subclass for each class. For Rogues that’s the Thief. It also only includes one Feat: Grappler. Your character most likely does not meet the Strength requirement for that Feat, so it was not presented to you as an option.
*(Which includes the three free publications put out by the company that publishes the game, Wizards of the Coast: The Basic Rules, the SRD, and the Elemental Evil Players’ Companion.)
What if I already own a copy of the PHB? Do I have to buy an online version to use the website's tools to their fullest? I suppose I just have to pay the monthly Hero fee then huh?
You would have to buy the online digital version of the book from this website, no subscription* required. This website isn’t owned by the same company that makes the game. This website is like a bookstore that only sells digital D&D books, and gives us all these really cool tools for free like the character builder, but we still have to buy the digital book here if we want to use anything other than the free basic rules that the game’s publisher put out. It’s a legal thing, there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Every copy of every book has to get paid for so they can’t just give them out for free.
Subscriptions do not unlock content. Just want that clear before time and/or money gets wasted.
Unfortunately, there is no way to redeem the physical books to online platforms. It is the same for roll20 and every other VTT. You have to buy the book here in order to get access to its content or add content manually through private homebrew (or have it shared by someone who did one of these 2 things).
