Is there any feedback on when the issue with the popups on iPad will be addressed? I didn't see the other thread flagged as a bug. Right now I still can't dismiss hoverovers/popups when I view the site on my iPad. It's frustrating.
I've flagged this one through. Someone is giving Adohand an iPad to figure it out (Adohand, that is not a chopping board! No it doesn't go in the soup pot!).
iPad, Chrome, tap armor class for popup, hold iPad to view screen in landscape view, tap right corner with icon of arrow point right or perhaps its a distorted X, popup dismisses, Monster menu activates. This will not work in portrait mode. It must be the Monster menu activation that dismisses the popup in landscape view. If you drag the page to scroll so that the back ground monster menu is not lined up with the popup dismiss icon it will not dismiss the popup and activate the Monster menu. Once the monster menu is activated the only way to dismiss the Monster menu without refreshing the page is to tap on any green + sign on the page to open further details of an item. The touch screen interface for web browsing clearly has some issues with the way popups and background menus are used in D&D Beyond. Perhaps this is some kind of Portrait to Landscape bug in the web page that is interfering with items that can be activated. It would be nice if just tapping anywhere on the background behind the popup dismissed the popup or just ensure all popups have a cancel button like the hit point popup. This might alleviate the bug and the screen orientation would no longer matter. I think this has something to do with the way portrait mode clips the top menu off of the page in that view. I am not a web developer, but I hope this helps the D&D Beyond developers find the bug.
When using Safari on the iPad you can tap armor class for the popup then scroll the back ground to the popup dismiss icon isn't over anything on the back ground and you can then dismiss popups normally only in landscape screen orientation. I could eventually duplicate this behavior using Firefox and Chrome. Chrome is much more finicky with the spot the back ground is scrolled to before the popup will dismiss.
The other iPad bug I found was when using Firefox tapping sign out directs you to a page that automatically signs you back in.
In my opinion the best D&D Beyond user experience with the iPad is using Safari. Create a desktop shortcut of your character selection page. (only safari offers that feature) When viewing the character sheet in landscape orientation scroll the page so that the main character sheet menu is at the top of the screen lined up with the iPad notification bar. When the character sheet is scrolled to this position all popups will now dismiss properly. The only bug I haven't figured out yet when using Safari is how to sign out and not activate the Homebrew menu selection while in Landscape orientation. I cannot sign out using Safari in portrait or landscape orientation.
Another useful trick for those with older iPads that do not have the new night mode is the zoom feature. I use the Accessibility/Zoom feature set to triple button press of the home button to dim the screen. The instructions to set up the zoom/dim is easy to google. I hope this helps people using an iPad. It would be nice if we could just use an App instead of a mobile web browser. Maybe that is why this stuff isn't fixed yet. Hopefully that means an App announcement is going to happen soon.

Any new news on this situation. I see it is still happening while using my IPad as well.

I'm also having this problem. Additionally, if the description requires scrolling the pop up is locked and I can't see the balance of the text below.
I made a separate thread about this and never heard about a solution or that it was going to get fixed.
Popups on iPads can now be dismissed, but will now activate the Monster menu behind the popup.
How are they being dismissed? Just tested it and they still stay on page.
