When selecting my bard's additional spells from the Magical Secrets class feature, the spells count against the number of spells I can learn. From my understanding, even though it's not specified, the phrasing makes me feel as though it should not count against the spells I can learn. Can anyone confirm if this is intentional or if it's an actual bug/glitch?
At 14th level, you have plundered magical knowledge from a wide spectrum of disciplines. Choose two spells from any classes, including this one. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Bard table, or a cantrip.
The chosen spells count as bard spells for you and are included in the number in the Spells Known column of the Bard table.
You learn two additional spells from any classes at 18th level.
So your “Spells Known” does include the spells you learn from Magical Secrets.

Now I feel like a dunce lol. I read and reread the description so many times, but I guess that highlighted part never clicked. Thanks a whole bunch!
