Cannot view character sheets

I cannot view character sheets, mine or anyone from my campaigns.  I get the following error whenever I try.

Whoops! We rolled a 1 on our Authentication check. We're heading into town to visit the blacksmith for repairs.

Try again after a Short Rest.

I am trying to connect while using a vpn so i'm just trying to figure out where the problem might be.

 The VPN is the problem, they don’t play nice with DDB. You have to do it without the VPN.

 The VPN is the problem, they don’t play nice with DDB. You have to do it without the VPN.

 Ohh no, but if i do that the work firewall will block ALL of DDB! :p. Alright I was afraid that was the answer.
