As the title says, when I as the DM try to add a feat that I own to a character sheet for a player that doesn't have the feat (and there is no content sharing in the campaign, this is purely from the DM benefit) the character sheet crashes with the black dragon error. I dont know if this happens for other content, because spells work fine, but afaik feats cannot be added.
There is no "DM benefit." You are attempting to add paid content to a sheet owned by a player who does not own that content without content sharing. Save for the error message, this is working as intended.
The "bug" occurs with spells too, but only those from a paid source. As many spells are free and almost all feats are paid, you've probably only noticed it with feats.
It has worked this way ever since i joined Dndbeyond for over a year and a half, and there have been numerous forms and if i recall even a couple official responses on/about the ability. This issue has only occured very recently, roughly two weeks ago. If it truly werent a bug, then rather than crashing the sheet, it wouldnt show the feats at all. If it interacts in this way and has radically changed this much, (i even talked to a mod on the DDB discord about it) it is indeed a bug.
That, or the DDB team is wildly incompetent at trying to nudge people into spending money
Interesting. Well, I just tested it out again and the issue (or at least MY issue) seems to be fixed, I can add those feats to the campaign's characters as a paid DM without content sharing.
Have a good day

As KingOfYou115 pointed out, there is no DM benefit, the bug is that you shouldn’t be seeing those feats as available for that character at all.

The bug is that it shouldn’t be displaying those feats but it is.
