I am running a Barbarian with +2 Dex bonus and +1 Str bonus dual-wielding rapiers.
Sometimes I want to use Strength with finesse weapons in order to use Barbarian class features like Reckless Attack and Rage. I'd like to be able to do this by switching an attribute with my weapon attacks but this doesn't seem to be possible.
I added custom weapon actions, but there seems to be a bug with this too - the dual wield attribute does not remove the damage bonus from custom weapon actions.
Any suggestions for how I can define actions which let me dual wield Rapiers using strength without manually adjusting damage results?
Simply customize those attacked to do 1 more damage each. The character sheet doesn’t automatically add Rage damage anyway, so the +2 isn’t gonna get calculated in unless you add it manually. Instead of adding the +2, just add +1 instead to compensate for the extra +1 from Dex.
