Hello, I have several students who are trying to make characters, but they're being hit with several 500 error codes and we haven't been able to figure out a workaround. Any help is appreciated.
If you can supply more information about the steps that you are taking that lead you to getting the error codes, that would be amazing. I don't work for DndBeyond but its always nice to have as much information when diagnosing a problem as possible.
Students are using school-supplied chromebooks, but only some of the students are getting errors, others are able to create characters without issue.
A student shared their screen and they went to the character builder, selected the standard and quick build options on separate attempts, and they were met with an error screen. As I said above, the errors only happen to some of the students. It's not an issue of the school blocking aspects of the website, and I don't believe they use a VPN since most of their work takes place on Google sites and Zoom.
Unfortunately our school's IT position is vacant, or I'd try asking there, but does anyone have any ideas? This may go without saying, but students are doing remote-learning, so it's not an option for me to hover over their shoulder and try to work it out like that.
Hey everyone! This is an issue we are aware of. If you are seeing this issue, please try logging out of D&D Beyond, clearing the cache on your browser, then logging back in. If this doesn't solve the issue, please submit a support ticket with Customer Service.
I went searching through forums again and found this post from DnDBeyond staff, I'll give it a shot and update if it works.
Forgot to post the update: clearing the cache didn't help. Also these are middle school students and when I mentioned browser extensions they just had blank stares, problem with error codes while creating new characters is still unresolved.

Most likely some of the students are running browser extensions or blockers that are interfering with DDB.
