I have been having issues with XP updates saving. I have also had issues with max HP changes updating when leveling up. I have been making sure to have focus leave the fields, and it looks like it should be fine until I leave the page (go to the editor or the character sheet) when it goes back to the previous value.
There is a caching issue with the server. Log out and back in to trigger the server to refresh its internal cache. Then wait 20 minutes for the character sheet to catch up and try it again. That should work.
