What kind of item is it? If it is a weapon or piece of armor, is that item something that the PC in question is proficient with? If not, was the “proficient” box checked during the search?

 Was the “common” box checked? That will preclude any “magic items” from getting listed.

Also, if the item was only just created it can occasionally take some time for new stuff to push to the character sheet. Sometimes re-saving the item waiting a few minutes, and then refreshing the character sheet clears that stuff up.

The other thing to check is to make sure that the new item is in your “collection” and not just in creations.

It may also be helpful to add a link to your character sheet in case the glitch lies there and not with the item.

In your OP you mentioned two magic items but only one having the problem. I was under the false assumption that both magic items were tested on the same character!! I’m sorry, I would have suggested that sooner.
