So I have a warlock in my game that is pact of the tomb, and took the book of ancient secrets invocation. Since then, he found a wizards spell book that has the spell Feign Death in it. I want to be able to add that spell to his book, but it’s not an option to add that to his list when I go to manage his class. He is level 6, so that’s shouldn’t be why he doesn’t have access to it. Any idea how to add certain spells to his book if I don’t see them in that list?
That’s it, for whatever reason I either never clicked share content or it somehow got switched off by accident. Thank you! I was getting so pissed that it wasn’t there when I owned many of the books.
Hello Tonka13TV! The Book of Ancient Secrets can have spells that qualify added to it in the 'manage levels' section of the character builder, where the invocation is. The player can open that drop down and add the relevant spell(s). Hope that helps!
The PHB requires acquiring new rituals beyond the two initial spells but when I created a 5th level warlock on DnDBeyond it allowed me three choices. Is there something I missed?

The first two are the ones granted by the Invocation. But the thing has to be able to add more as you learn them, so no matter how many you have it always has to let you add another. (Until you get them all and there are none left anyway. But the dropdown will still get generated sine WotC can always publish another spell.)
That third one was just you accidentally adding one too many because you expected it to stop you. Don’t worry, it happens to folks who aren’t used to it all the time. Happened to me the first time too, but it’s easy to reset the extra to a blank choice again.

Is he level 6 warlock or multiclass?
Are you checking the book of ancient secrets invocation 3rd or higher drop down?
Do you own the PHB on DDB or have it shared to you in the campaign your character is in?
