From the feat description: • You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls you make with a spear. • When you use a spear, its damage die changes from a d6 to a d8, and from a d8 to a d10 when wielded with two hands.
The +1 bonus to attack rolls seems to be added to all melee attacks (not just spear). The damage die stays at d6/d8
The feat you are talking about seems to be homebrew. I would assume the creator of the feat (whether you or otherwise) miss-applied the bonus when you attack. If you didn't make the feat, it would probably be worth remembering that the feat only applies to spears. Alternatively you can remove the feat from your character and customize your spear to have the additional +1 and changes to the dice damage.

That is a homebrewed feat.
There is no modifier to simply add a bonus to a weapon’s attack roll, the modifier that the author used adds a bonus to all melee attacks as you have discovered.
There is no way to alter the base damage dice for a weapon at all.
To accurately model this feat, you would need to start with something like a Longsword, change the damage to piercing and the name to “Spear Master’s Spear” in the homebrewer, and then customize it directly on the character sheet to add the +1 to the Attack roll.

Ahhhh. Well that explains it, I thought it was "official" UA. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
I like the feat and would like to keep it so I'll play around with creating the weapon in the homebrewer.
FYI- Tje version of the feat you have is obviously broken. I would recommend making your own version as plain txt.
