nice, but I am not seeing all the extra feature for Improved Steel Defender. Example:
Reaction • Deflect Attack. The defender imposes disadvantage on the attack roll of one creature it can see that is within 5 feet of it, provided the attack roll is against a creature other than the defender. Hit Points: 87/Special
I would expect to see the additional damage that the ISD does. Whenever your steel defender uses its Deflect Attack, the attacker takes force damage equal to 1d4+5.
Improved Defender TCoE, pg. 20
The extra damage and the healing of your Arcane Jolt both increase to 4d6. Your steel defender gains a +2 bonus to Armor Class. Whenever your steel defender uses its Deflect Attack, the attacker takes force damage equal to 1d4+5.
So I have the defender block in the actions tab on the sheet, but there seems to be no rolling enabled for it? Meaning the only way to roll it's Force Empowered Rend (for example) would be a custom d20+doing the math yourself? I know about apps like Beyond20, I'm specifically asking if there is anyway to incorporate a stat block on the sheet that has rolling enabled as per the drakewarden? EDIT: Actually n/m this is also apparently a problem for the Drakewarden?

Hrm. I think it's possible for DDB to make the Action stat block display the Force Empowered Rend as an attack, but there are a couple reasons why they don't:
As it works now, the attack will add +INT to the damage, when it should be +PB.
Unlike with the Artillerist Eldritch Cannon, which uses your Bonus Action to fire, you aren't the one using an action to do the Rend - your Defender is.
We can add a custom action, or even homebrew a version of the Battle Smith that makes an attack action for us, but DDB is constrained to implement the official stuff as by-the-book as they can. I don't think we'll get a rollable Force-Empowered Rend until DDB is able to implement the Defender's stat block correctly in Extras, and has attacks & such in those stat blocks be rollable on the Extras section (right now it's only in Encounters.)

Right, except I know for a fact that the Drakewarden used to be able to roll dice for the extra damage from empowered strikes. Also when you could input the companions as stat blocks in the "Extras" tab they had rollable attacks as would any monster. So previously existing functionality has disappeared.
If you had rollable attacks in Extras and in the Drake statblock, then that was because of Beyond20. If Beyond20 isn't doing the rollables, then you need to ask the maintainers of that extension to fix it; it's not something DDB supports.

Is getting the steel defender stat block leveling still in the works? They still do not level accurately.
Are you looking at the Steel Defender in Extras, or in Actions? Currently DDB can't implement the Steel Defender statblock correctly in Extras, so they made one under Actions to provide the correct information.

I don't know if i'm missing something, but there is no option to add it. I can pick Battle Smith Defender as the category but it isn't on the list that comes up after
Steel Defender can be found under ACTIONS on your character sheet.

I don't see it. Do you have to enable it in some way?Never mind, I found it. This is great news!
Looks great. Missing the SD's skills, though.

ah found it
I'm not finding it?
You may need to bump your character up a level and then back down to "wake up" the character sheet and get the new stuff.

Yes, I just had to go into edit mode to get mine to show up.

I guess the thing I miss under this new location is the easy temp hp managing, but is certainly an improvement overall

Why is the steel defender not in "monsters"? I use to use it for my Kobold as a mount but now I cannot add it the "extras" page
I made a thread a while back about how to fix the Steel Defender in your Extras tab, but it kinda flew under the radar.
You have to make manual changes to a homebrew copy, but it's laid out step-by-step here.

Still not fixed!?! It's clearly been years now. Steel Defender is still not an option for "Extras" in the drop down or by searching.
