The Trickery domain is part of the Player's Handbook. The Death domain is part of the Dungeon Master's Guide. You will need to have purchased the content before you can use them. Alternatively if you are in a campaign with somebody who has a Master Tier Subscription they can enable content sharing and you can then create characters and view compendium information with things they have purchased. You can create with Life domain because it is part of the Basic Rules SRD which is available for free.
You can purchase the whole books, a subclass bundle for all subclasses or the individual domains. If you chose to get the bundle or individual domain the price will be deduced from the whole book if you decide to purchase it at a later date.
I want to use the trickery domain or the death domain...why is my only option in character creation is the life domain? Is it something I did wrong?
