Trick Shots. You learn two trick shots of your choice, which are detailed under “Trick Shots” below. Many maneuvers enhance an attack in some way. Each use of a trick shot must be declared before the attack roll is made. You can use only one trick shot per attack.
My question about the trick shots is when spending grit points for violent shot, if the weapon deals 2 dice for damage, base, do you roll 1 or 2 extra dice per grit point spent? Example: Bad News deals 2d12, base. If I spend 4 points, do I deal an extra 4d12 or 8d12?
Bad news weapon is a 2d12 , so it’s damage die is 2d12, each point of grit gives in that case 2d12, so net damage is the base 2d12+ another 2d12 for on grit point= 4d12, if you spent 2 grit points in that case then the net damage total would be 6d12
Bad news weapon is a 2d12 , so it’s damage die is 2d12, each point of grit gives in that case 2d12, so net damage is the base 2d12+ another 2d12 for on grit point= 4d12, if you spent 2 grit points in that case then the net damage total would be 6d12
This incorrect, as it says it deals an extra die of damage, which would be 1d12,
Example: a half-orc with orcish fury xgte feat hits with a greatsword, and he decides to use the feat's 2nd bullet point, dealing a extra die of damage, now though the listed damage die is 2d6, it is actually 1d6 + 1d6, therefore an extra die of damage would be an extra 1d6
Clarification: If you would crit with, say, a maul, (which deals 2d6 damage ), you would roll 4d6 for base damage, cuz a critical hit doubles damage dice
But this is a mistake I too once made, and I'm just tryna share some of my wisdom

Can you stack trick shots by spending additional grit points? for example deadeye shot with violent shot.

Violent shot specifies one extra damage die per grit point. So for one point spent, Bad News would do 3d12 total, two points would be 4d12 total, etc.
Thank you
