I apologize if this is common knowledge but what happened to the Way or Tranquility? I can't seem to find the option anywhere on the site while other subclasses introduced through UE at the same time are available via playtest options.
The Oath of Redemption seems similar on the surface, but it's very different in detail. I'll go over the differences here.
The Paladin gets access to many more spells than Sanctuary, and can cast them normally, with no way to do so for free, while the Monk only gets one casting of Sanctuary on themselves per minute, with no material components.
The Healing Hands ability from Tranquility is just a buffed version of the base Paladin's feature. Redemption gets no such buff to the ability.
The Tranquility Monk gets passive advantage on Performance or Persuasion checks made specifically to defuse violence, while Redemption Paladins can use their Channel Divinity to get a bonus to all Persuasion checks, regardless of intended results.
Redemption Paladins can absorb damage dealt to their allies. Tranquility Monks cannot.
Redemption Paladins get passive regeneration below 50% HP. Monks don't.
The capstone features for each subclass are incredibly different. Paladins get resistance to all damage and retaliatory damage on attacks that hit them, while Monks get a sort of vengeance mechanic, giving them bonus damage for a round against a creature that kills another creature.
I hope I've displayed that the Redemption Paladin and Tranquility Monk only have two to three cursory similarities, being the belief that violence is a last resort, the casting of Sanctuary, and Tranquility getting a buffed version of a base Paladin feature in Healing Hands. The subclasses are analogous at best, so you would be excused for not seeing the connection that wasn't there.

Thanks in advance!
Way of Tranquility became the Paladin's Oath of Redemption.

excellent, thank you. It seemed impossible for me to figure that out!
