To paraphrase a sentence from Umbral Sight: You are also adept at evading creatures that rely on darkvision. While in darkness, you are invisible to any creature that relies on darkvision to see you in that darkness.
Based off the above does this mean that when I am fighting a monster that strictly relies on darkvision to see me (particularly during combat) it gets disadvantage on all combat rolls and I get advantage on all combat rolls for the duration of the combat? If so then, /facepalm, because I have been overlooking this for the past 3 levels as a Gloomstalker...
This might seem like a "no duh, RAW" question but I am asking for clarification.
In Frost Maiden the sun is only out a few hours a day. In general you should be invisible in most of your encounters until your DM starts only attacking you during the daytime. You have to get away from the light using party members, but if you combine with archery and sharpshooter its insanely powerful.

Yeah, it can be amazingly good in dungeons - you're effectively invisible against some monsters.

Sweet! Well, my group is running Rime of the Frost Maiden. I will make sure to remember that in our next session!
