I'm using the new UA Class Variant Ranger Gloomstalker. The new UA class variants for Rangers is awesome! Right now I'm level 4, going to take 1 more level in ranger than looking to go into Fighter. 3 levels from fighter into the subclass Arcane Fighter. Thinking this will pretty sweet, dread ambusher is going to deal awesome damage once I get multi attack, then action surge. Being able to get Hunters mark out with spell slot and no concentration means massive damage on my first hit.
Then following that up with zephyr strike bonus actions, and using Arcana fighters abilities for my follow up attacks. Wow!
So first round, 6 attacks, 4 regular, 2 gloom stalker first round, all with a +1d6 on the damage, I would use either ensnaring strike or hail of thorns over zephyr Strike depending on the field, but otherwise sounds good. Ensnaring with give you advantage on 5/6 if they fail, Hail will do splash damage if you have bunched enemies.
And if you are an Elf, take Elven Accuracy as you ASI, roll 3 dice!
think about 2 levels in fighter for action surge. That allows you to use dread ambusher a second time in same round. so at 5th level ranger you get 2 attacks on your first attack use dread ambusher giving a 1d8 bonus attack so you 3 attacks total. Then action surge and repeat it. with the rouge abilities you have a good chance of all of those being with advantage. or in the dark even better. Then if you use something like cross bow expert/sharpshooter you add a bonus attack for 8 attacks the first round all with +10 damage minimum

No, it's just whenever on your first turn you make the Attack Action. You can do this multiple times, by having effects like haste on you, action surge, and similar abilities.
You can feasibly attack 8 times if you're Gloomstalker 5, Fighter 2, with a potion of speed, and you do this all on your first time.
(Mix this with Unleash Incarnation from the Echo Knight, and you can attack 13 times at level 8)

I'm playing a Gloomstalker and I read it as once because of the "one additional weapon attack as part of that action" interesting. Cause that makes my OP character even more OP, considering I was torn between EK, Paladin or Monk for my third class, and as a Gloomstalker/ Assassin I can pretty much one shot anything on my first strike already.
Also combined with Hunter's Mark, Assassin Rogues for critical hits on every attack, and possibly two weapon fighting to get a total of 14 attacks in one turn, you can do crazy amounts of damage.

No two-weapon fighting for me, I use my bonus action to hide and set up for the next round.

Two weapons just grant one extra attack with a bonus action.
with one weapon you are at (2(base)+1(stalker))*2(action surge) for a total pf 6 attacks.
if you dual wield, add a bonus action attack to reach 7 attacks.
that said, its pretty nasty. I play one at lv 12 now.
I'm aware that dual wielding gives you only one more attack requiring a bonus action.
An Echo Knight Gloomstalker at level 8 with haste can attack 14 times if they dual wield.
I hadnt seen that class before, my bad. But is the idea to use this ability three times in one round assuming 16 con? (Gets me to 13 attacks)
«When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you can heighten your echo's fury. Whenever you take the Attack action, you can make one additional melee attack from the echo's position.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.»
Is a 5 gloom stalker - 4 assassin - 4 echo knight - 7 assassin - 5 echo knight - 8 gloom stalker I really like all the advantages I get with eleven accuracy but we already have a rouge and a fighter in are team. would this still be valid? and if so how could I modify this for more damage out put or is this good already?

Sounds very valid, but why Gloomstalker 8 (instead of 5) and echo knight 5 (instead of 4) instead of assassin 11? Also I would ask the gm ahead if he allows echo knight to use multiple bonus attacks per round. I sure would not.
I'm very new to d&d and realized that extra attack doesn't stack and I wanted iron mind and this is my first character. Thanks a lot of the information.

Yea, you can get will save proficiency though Resilient feat which you would get from the added rogue levels :)
Again thanks for the info but i'm already getting two feats (eleven accuracy, alert) and I dont know if I should get ASI or another feat. I did roll very well on my ability scores but still I could always use more con.

Post a link to your current character and I can weigh in on what feat might work in place of an asi
Lucky is even better for this build than for most others. It both acts as a buffer when you fail critical saves, it allows you to reroll initiative if you fail at a critical time, and the same goes from skills and hits. Its simply outstanding for builds that once in a while require perfection - as the assassin in particular does.

hope you DM and party want to go to the underdark or you will be miserable
Dread Ambusher only works once a turn.

Yep, it requires you to have at least a 16 in Constitution.
