You can convert any kind of sorcerer spell and convert it into a cantrip to be used ONCE by multiplying the spell level by 6 and take that and that is the sorcerer point cost.
Wait, am I misunderstanding this? So it would cost *six* sorcery points to cast a level 1 spell as a cantrip once?

What exactly is the point of this? To cast a spell in a turn you also quicken another spell?
I'm not exactly seeing a time I need to get off a lvl 1 spell so badly I'd want to burn 6 points to do it or 12 points on a lvl 2 spell.

Whats the intent here?
The confusing part is I can already use *two* sorcery points to create a level 1 spell slot, so why would I pay six to do a level 1 spell *once* as a cantrip?
At best, it would allow me to cast it on the same turn as a leveled spell, but I would have to spend two more to cast as a bonus action meaning I'm spending 8 sorcery points just to cast a second level 1 spell on the same turn

At 20th level what level 1 spell am I casting? Shield and Absorb Elements are reactions. Mage Armor is a start of day spell. Chromatic Orb and Chaos Bolt are out paved by your cantrips. I just don’t see any use for this.
