Clearly the basis for the Sorlock build is the Eldritch Blast + Quicken Combo. I also noticed a recent thread that explained the potent pairing of Magic Missle + Hexblade Curse.
I’m wondering what other combinations are possible using Warlock feature/spells/invocations paired with Sorcerer metamagic/spells. So got any good combos to share?
The main selling points of Sorlock in my opinion are:
You can stockpile sorcery points using Pact Magic
You get some extra low level slots for spells that don't scale (e.g. Shield)
You get some extra cantrips and low level spells, which makes you more versatile.
The Eldritch Blast + Quickened Spell combo is neat but it's not that much better than using Quickened Spell with some other Sorcerer cantrip unless you're also using Hexblade's Curse and you're shooting 3+ beams at a time. If I were mainly a Warlock, I'm not sure going 3 whole levels into Sorcerer just for Metamagic is worth it considering you fall behind on your higher-level spells and invocations.
SORCERY POINTS You have 2 sorcery points, and you gain more as you reach higher levels, as shown in the Sorcery Points column of the Sorcerer table. You can never have more sorcery points than shown on the table for your level. You regain all spent sorcery points when you finish a long rest.
The above is copied from the PHB. and that's why you can't stockpile sorcery points, you can get them back if you use some up and use your warlock slots... then take a short rest to get your warlock slots back, if you use up some more points you can use your slots to get more back again but it will always be up to your limit, never above it.
You're right, I misspoke slightly. What you stockpile are spell slots. You convert your starting points to slots, then keep turning Pact Magic slots into sp, sp into temporary slots and short rests into Pact Magic slots as time allows. There's no limit on the number of temporary slots you can have and you can turn them back into sorcery points later if needed (though at a loss.) The limiting factors here are how much downtime is available and your Pact Magic slots. If you're an elf, you automatically have some downtime while your non-elf companions sleep since you finish a long rest in 4 hours instead of 8.
You might trance for only 4 hours but still need to take 8 hours to get the benefits of a long rest, and you can't take short rests 'inside' a long rest... it's one or the other. This mechanical 'loophole' in the rules to get you more spell slots isn't really practical as the amount of slots you get scale with your level and you don't really need it.
I'm not sure this is so much a sorlock thing as it is a sorcerer thing, but if you use quicken to cast a spell as a bonus action and also cast a cantrip in the same turn why not cast Blade Ward and gain the benefits round from round (fights don't last that long anyway)... this will probably show the best results from 3rd level onward.

No, an elf officially completes a long rest in 4 hours using Trance. See Sage Advice Compendium.
Does the Trance trait allow an elf to finish a long rest in 4 hours? If an elf meditates during a long rest (as described in the Trance trait), the elf finishes the rest after only 4 hours. A meditating elf otherwise follows all the rules for a long rest; only the duration is changed. [This answer has been altered as a result of a tweak to the rules for a long rest, which appears in newer printings of the Player’s Handbook.]
That means two/four/eight extra 1st level slots during those extra 4 hours if you're a 1st/2nd/3rd level Warlock, respectively. If the party isn't in a rush to start their adventuring day, you can rack up some more. After all, you can't march more than 8 hours without penalties and it only takes 6-8 medium/hard fights to tire the average party out. Even allowing for 2 short rests during the day you probably have some hours to spare.
OK I guess I’ll add “short rest meta magic factory” to the synergy list.
If your character has gold to spare it might be worth it to hire a lackey to drive the caravan, cook and break camp...while you do Weird Sorlocky things.
What else? Sorcerers have a great spell for Chain familiars: Dragons Breath. Inflict Wounds and cure wounds (from divine soul)is good also.
LOL this is the warlock forum, necromancers (2 year thread necro) can see themselves to the wizard forums!

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
I’m a level 5 warlock. Have Repelling Agonizing Blast went with the Fiend pact. I have an imp. I also have War caster. Always have Mage Armor up cost no spell slots AC is 16. Is it too late for sorcerer? If not I need suggestions what to do with sorcerer. My imp helps group a lot as a spy. We do take a lot of short rest in fact between fights DM says we automatically short rested. Long rest is a different story. We take long rest when we can. Should I multi class are just go straight Warlock undecided? I have fireball and Scorching Ray has Fiend Pact. Just two spell slots.

If you have a familiar who you can cast through can you get them to land on the “bad guy” and cast inflict wounds?

@Hawkeyedan
the idea of sorlock(hexblade) is to spam eb twice per round. your info about your warlock lacks info, race, otherworldly patreon etc.
