So I'm creating my first Warlock (tiefling) and I'm having some difficulty settling on a patron. My back story for the character is they are a musician, but they are terrible. One night, the Warlock prays to the gods to help them (I'm not sure if they are going to be male or female yet), and the next night they are visited by a stranger who says they can make them the greatest musician in the world if they serve them. Eagerly they agree, and do in deed become the greatest musician in the world, but discover that the stranger (the patron) asks for a sacrifice of killing an audience member after every performance.
So, here's where I need help: What patron (I'm assuming fiend) would do this? If I make the Warlock a woman, I was thinking maybe going the succubus rout. If I make them a guy, I'm not sure what patron would work. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.
Succubus would work as well for a male warlock as a female one. Any fiend of sufficient power would be workable, though most of them wouldn't so much be interested in just wanton murder as they would be the corruption and collection of souls. Could also go with a straight-up demon, the other half of the 'Fiend' divide. A chaotic creature as malevolent as a demon would exult in those constant murders, but you'd have to have a particular put-together demon for it to have the intelligence and wherewithal to grant artistic talent as well as warlock power.
Another possible entity to consider would be a cambion, which is a traditional sort of charisma-y devil that has less sexy-times connotations. A cambion might well consider the loss of a few dozen/hundred audience souls to be worth the investment in 100% for-certain securing the soul of a powerful adventurer. Typically cambions aren't considered outrageously powerful devils, but then again the cambion could simply be an intermediary for a pact with Asmodeus or another of the Archdevils, especially with a tiefling PC. The cambion could simply be the entity which is bringing out the infernal traces of Archdevil power in your tiefling, rather than being the source of that power itself.

I like this idea. I might have to do some tweaking. My original idea was to have the PC fall deeper and deeper into being purely evil and having the pact corrupt them, but I'm not sure if that's how the pact idea works.
lvl 1: Switch out a level 1 patron spell for: "(insert patron name) uncontrollable singing", it functions as per Tasha's Hideous Laughter but the target/victim sings instead of laughs
lvl 6: see if you can get Otto's Irresistible Dance as a mystic arcanum
If people won't sign along or dance with you, you'll make them!

What if the Patron was a former musician who made the same deal and failed to uphold his end of the bargain so he ended up in The Shadowfell. Now, he has to entice another musician to make (and break) the same deal so he can be set free. Also, the pact could work similar to the Hexblade pact in that the Patron manifests itself through a musical instrument. It's like The Devil Went Down to Georgia meets D&D!
Evil Archfey would also fit well with your concept. Hags love making deals and making people suffer for it... A member of the Gloaming Court might also work.
And the Archfey features mesh better with a bardic background.

Well the male variation of succubus is incubbus.
Right, I just meant if I didn't go the succubus or incubus route.

YES!!!!!!!
A couple of spell ideas if you want them;
lvl 1: Switch out a level 1 patron spell for: "(insert patron name) uncontrollable singing", it functions as per Tasha's Hideous Laughter but the target/victim sings instead of laughs
lvl 6: see if you can get Otto's Irresistible Dance as a mystic arcanum
