OK, I am new to the DnDB platform, but so far I can't figure out how to add the stats for my familiar to my character sheets.

I tried casting Find Familiar to see if that would generate an option, but nothing happened. So I have been searching the forums to see if there is any help, but so far no luck. 

Does anyone know how to do this? Is it even possible?

No, it is not currently possible. But it is a feature that the staff is planning to implement, alongside animal companions, wildshape, or any general pet.

As a workaround for my beastmaster, I simply copied the info in the Note section of the sheet.

Can you make it a homebrew item so if you use the online version and not the printed sheets it will show up on mouseover or click of the name?

 you don't need to add it as homebrew...just go under 'extras' and add it as a familiar. you can do mounts, sidekicks, summoned critters, wildshapes, pets and several other categories as well.  it's a huge feature.  it would be nice if it printed though.

On the character sheet's right-hand panel you have tabs for Actions, Spells, Equipment, etc.  Extras is the last tab on the right.

Hmmm... I tried going to extras and it says something like ”these features still under development”.  I don’t see how to add a familiar?

I checked on one of my character sheets and it seems to be working fine for me. Let me see if I can help you out with it. So once you have your character created click on the Extra tab in the corner of your character's Action/Equipment section

Then click the "Manage Extras" and then the drop down menu that shows up on the side of the screen, and select Familiar.

You should get a search menu bar that shows up and you just find the creature that your familiar is becoming. Hit the Add button and it should add the creature into your extras. If this doesn't help you and you're still getting the "Under Development" message, then I would send in a support ticket to get this error fixed on your account.

Ah!  I was using the app and it doesn’t seem to work there, but that fixed it.  Thank you!

Another option I used for my Awakened Shrub from S10. Create a homebrew race, then give create him as a character.

How do I get a  familiar creature?

Some creatures can be familiars. Check the Monsters and search "familiar" and you'll see Familiar Variants. 

Or cast the Find Familiar spell.

i have an abyssal chicken and it lets me add the normal familiar types, but not an abyssal chicken. why is there an ADULT RED DRAGON but not an abyssal chicken?
