Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. For defeating the soul monger, Sandra promised a magic item of uncommon or rare rarity? What's a good one for a wizard?
I already have wand of wonder and ring of protection, so I still have an attunement slot to use for something nice.
There's a few rings and cloaks that'd be useful for me. Just trying to figure out which one I want.
A crystal ball.
Oh wait. That's very rare. Try a potion of mind reading or a spell scroll of scrying.
Or, if you want something that's not consumable, a helm of telepathy.

A Wizard can never go wrong with simple Bracers of Defense or Pearl of Power. A Diviner in particular might thematically like a Robe of Eyes or Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location. And spellcasters love to fly, so how about some Wings of Flying?
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.
Ring of spell-storing is always a solid choice or get an offensive wand to free up spell slots
Decided on Robe of Eyes, which so far in 2 adventures has proven to be quite useful :)
