Why did you take only 1 level of Paladin? I understand the 2 levels of Fighter for Action Surge, but 1 level of Paladin doesn’t make sense.
In the end of the day, unfortunately, it seems when you want to really optimize something you just need to get one level in Hexblade. There’s a famous build called “Nuclear Wizard” which basically consists of Hexblade 1 and Evoker.
Hexblade Curse + Overchannel + Magic Missile or Scorching Ray or Melf’s Minute Metor = total destruction!
18th Level feature is infinite use of a 1st level and 2nd level spell of choice, a choice you can change as needed.
20th Level 2x 3rd level spells that are always prepped without contributing to the limit, thus letting you have more spells prepped. The chosen spells can be cast once each, every short or long rest.
Need protection, ah that infinite use of Shield and Mirror Image. Slow and Fireball for the 3rd levels, great combo, no slots used!
Want to go all offensive, then consider Hold Person for your 2nd level at-will, so you cast as much as you want to make it stick.
Ah, and that 2nd 7th Level spell slot is oh so sweet.
Want to get all melee on their arses? Why not keep a Tenser's Transformation handy then? All the benefits of a dash of martial and none of that multiclassing sucking away your max level goodies.
- And Overchannelling Steel Wind Strike for 60 damage to multiple enemies is better than 70 against one from the usual Magic Missile. Especially if you paralysed them first...
Basically this wizard is kinda useless in melee, so I took paladin as a starting class which gave proficiency in Heavy Armor, hence the AC 27
You could be a Bladesinger and really kick ass in melee.
I don’t think 15 STR is a good choice as well. Rather put your DEX to 14 and use medium armor. You’ll lose just one AC but improve initiative, DEX save and other good skills.
Generally speaking, I agree with the folks that multiclass Wizard doesn’t worth, specially if you’ll really play high-level.

Okay then, I be changing the wizard because of the comments so far then
I need feedback and help on making a 20th level wizard better
So far I have 27 AC, and an extra action, and overchannel.
Here it is
So basically just critique my dumb wizard

I never mix wizards.

Cyb3rM1nd, thanks for the helpful tips... But I'll probably keep the 1 level in paladin just so that I can have some of that good AC
