So is there any way to add in the plane shift content from wotc? I remember them adding little supplements with different plane shift content awhile back, i can only find two but i was wondering if they were on dndbeyond anywhere? or if there was any intent to add them?
There are not currently any plans to add them to DDB. You can, however, homebrew most if not all of the content, you just can't publish it. This page lists all of the planeshift articles.
There were several of these, yes - they were produced by the Magic: The Gathering team at Wizards of the Coast and, as odd as this may seem, are not official Dungeons & Dragons products - they're effectively considered third-party products that happened to be released by a different part of the same company.
As for inclusion on D&D Beyond - if we receive direction from Wizards of the Coast that this is allowed, then I strongly expect that we'll do so.
So no to "third party" wotc content but yes to Matt Mercer homebrew?
This is disingenuous. It's obvious that Critical Role has a partnership with D&D Beyond and has for years based on advertising Critical Role does for them, and I'm sure layers of that partnership include things that the Critical Role team does. The sheer amount of homebrew that exists is massive and supporting all of it is just impossible, not to mention that D&D Beyond isn't an inside arm of Wizards. They are a company that has bought the license to use D&D official products and has to represent them as written, grammatical errors and all.

Matt's homebrew was made freely available with Matt's permission.
Wizards of the Coast would need to provide likewise permission for the Planeshift content to be made equally available. As Stormknight said
