So, in my campaign - my folks are fairly new to D&D, so I have been making their characters for them. The other site I used to use (OrcPub) apparently had a clash with WotC (probably because it was direct competition with D&D Beyond - and it was free). So, now, to make my life easier - I've decided I'd make them here. I got two new players, so I made their characters on D&D Beyond to get them started - now, since there's a limit of 6 character slots (and I have two characters in other campaigns that I play in) - I can't make all of my players characters. And asking them to make a twitch account, come on here, sign up, make their character - may be a bit too much (especially since some of the players are not... computer savvy).
So what I was thinking is - I'd make their twitch accounts for them - send them the information. Create their characters for them on here, and then they can manage it in the future with their Twitch accounts on the site. (Shouldn't be too difficult). But two of the (aforementioned) players I've already made their characters in my name. Is there a way to transfer ownership of a character to someone else?
If not (because I am not seeing it - but it could be there and I just can't find it) - I would think this might be a nice feature to have.
The method Drago has given you is correct - you can create characters in the campaign and then "unclaim" them. Note that they still count towards your character limit until such time that they have been claimed by another user.
However, please note the Twitch terms of Service especially the section below that forbids account "sharing"
4. Account
a. Account and Password
In order to open an account, you will be asked to provide us with certain information such as an account name and password.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, for restricting access to your computer, and for all activities that occur under your account or password. Please make sure the information you provide to Twitch upon registration and at all other times is true, accurate, current, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Unless expressly permitted in writing by Twitch, you may not sell, rent, lease, share or provide access to your account to anyone else, including without limitation charging anyone for access to administrative rights on your account. Twitch reserves all available legal rights and remedies to prevent unauthorized use of the Twitch Services, including, but not limited to, technological barriers, IP mapping, and, in serious cases, directly contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) regarding such unauthorized use.
If you have reason to believe that your account is no longer secure (e.g., in the event of a loss, theft or unauthorized disclosure or use of your account, password, or any credit, debit or charge card), immediately notify Twitch at legal@twitch.tv.
Perfect! And no worries - I wasn't going to share my account. That's why I said I'd set up their individual Twitch accounts - so that all they need to do is log into this site on their (created by me) Twitch accounts to manage their own characters. The group not being overly computer savvy (for the most part), I am trying to make this as easy as possible for them (and they can change their password to whatever the heck they remember). So if I create their individual twitch accounts - and tell them to log in here - I think they can do it from there to manage their characters. :)

To be clear, the method you describe here is a direct breach of the terms of service.

Either I do not understand or you do not understand. If someone doesn't have enough skill with computers to create an account, they can't get their more-skilled friend to create their account for them?

If you create a Twitch account - it is your account. You agree to that as part of creating it.
As I posted above, from the Twitch ToS:
Unless expressly permitted in writing by Twitch, you may not sell, rent, lease, share or provide access to your account to anyone else.
So, creating an account (you have stated that it is your account as part of creating it) and then giving it to a friend is providing access to your account to someone else.
Yes, it may seem like it's being picky, but it's how it works.
However .... sitting with a friend and helping them understand how to create an account is fine.

So I run a site - and have my own domain - so I have access to the emails I have set up for them (specifically for my game, so it doesn't spam their regular emails). So these would be set up in THEIR email addresses (I simply have access as an admin to access these emails, since I can create, delete, modify them).
But if it's too much of a headache and there's some kind of issue that's some fine grey line - I don't want to stir the pot. I just won't have them use D&D Beyond, and I will just do it the old school way of paper and pencil.
Regardless of what you're doing with email addresses, if YOU make a Twitch account, it is YOUR account.
The Twitch Terms of Service specify that you are not allowed to share or give that account to someone else.
I didn't write the Twitch Terms of Service, I am just answering the question that you asked on how it works.
You mentioned that your players are not "computer savvy" but surely they are able to create an account at Twitch.tv and then head over to dndbeyond.com and sign in with that account?
If they're not able to do this, I feel it is unlikely that they will be able to use D&D Beyond anyway?

Not sure why you're still at this? I did say I would do it pencil & paper in my previous post?
You were given multiple replies about the proper way to handle your situation, none of which were pleasing to you. There's absolutely no need for attitude. This thread seems to have run its course, and there is no way it will progress in a sensible manner, so I am going to lock it. I wish the best of luck to you and your group.

Of course they probably need to buy the same source as you except if you have the master subscription or the characters use only the SRD content.
