Add a comprehensive Adventure Journal log feature for each character.
If you want this to be utilized as a comprehensive player supplement, we need to have journal access right on the page generated from the link "View Player Sheet". It also should be editable via the character edit somewhere close to bio, notes etc...
I totally agree this is a fantastic idea. If it would require a bandwidth boost or similar upkeep perhaps it could be a part of the Hero Tier benefits letting free tier users rely on the DM journal or similar outside tools.
I agree with this! I currently use a google spreadsheet, which I can add dates and entry titles to filter quests by, but I'd love to use DnD Beyond as a one stop tool as a PC.
Adventure logs are definitely a feature that is coming - I strongly expect them to be part of the AL functionality, which will probably be later this year (after Wizards of the Coast have completed the changes to AL play that they have planned).

Is there somewhere we can learn more about these upcoming changes, or have they not been announced?
The Developer Q&A sessions are a great start - the community get to ask questions of Badeye and he answers them. :)

Sorry, I meant about the upcoming AL changes.
AFAIK, nothing has been officialised yet, but the timeframe seems to be this late spring/summer, according to a post from BadEye from some time ago (can't really find it now...)

Last I knew they had not been announced. When Badeye mentioned they were waiting on the changes coming to AL before implementing AL features on DDB, he said he couldn't talk about those changes.
Wizards of the Coast intend to make some changes to AL play.
Curse have chosen to not add "AL compliance mode" to D&D Beyond until after WotC have made these changes, otherwise they'd write a load of code and then potentially have to change it all.
We don't have any details on what the changes might be, nor the magnitude of them.
I see where your coming from, but from a player perspective, a journal should be the knowledge of your PC and if information that you can draw on gives you some game spotlight, that can make for a cool moment.
That's a fair way to look at it I'm just currently in a campaign where we have two well read characters who are constantly mashing their notes together/hitting every library possible to research together so the ability to share notes with certain players would be nice... Not that my character would partake.

Y.E.S. I concur, something that can allow you to jot down some simple notes on character progression during an adventure would be great!

Take a look at the Organised Play section of Xanathar's to see what is probably happening to AL.
I think the individual journal is a tremendous idea bit maybe a group journal would be pretty nice idea as well (not that it needs to be used).
Or the ability to allow others in the campaign to view and/or edit your journal.
