I bought new books, but the new spells have not appeared for already made characters but will show up for new characters that I make. What is happening?
Try checking your entitlements by going to this page. In the top section (Entitlements) check if it says you need to sync. If so, click on the sync button.
You might also try toggling the inspiration counter on the affected characters to refresh them.
If the books you bought are Critical Role or Magic: the Gathering books (or other official but non-D&D-original setting books), you need to enable the option for them to show up. For example, the Spores Druid won't show up unless you enable MTG content, since it was first printed in (iirc) Theros, despite it since having been reprinted in Tasha's

Ah, mb. I don't own either book as I don't have much interest in the MtG settings, but I did remember it being from an MtG book originally.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB
Circle of Spores was first printed in Ravnica, not Theros. Ravnica is also an M:tG sourcebook though.
