What is the reasoning behind giving us titles?
What are the “mechanics” of acquiring them?
I got 12 titles already what is the point of them?
You gain more titles as your number of posts goes up. They are just for fun, as far as I know.
A bit to much though ;^)
They are just for fun, though maybe one day they can be more :).
Its just an extra incentive to be active on the forums etc. Nothing wrong with it imo
It feels like hyperinflation. Meaning 0 value added to user experience.
Hyperinflation is fun.... Until someone gets hurt.
They are essentially bragging rights.
Someone else linked this in another thread about Titles, but they are referencing the ones from the older editions (1st/2nd): http://www.pvv.ntnu.no/~leirbakk/rpg/adnd/classesandkits/level.html

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
Thanks for the link. It is probable that there is some connection.

Says the puny adventurer. :p

That would be neat. As people have already said, it doesn't seem to impact the user experience much
They're just for fun, really. It's a pretty standard thing for many popular forums.
