But nowhere in the section is that tag actually shown. I know now that it's an R in a black square, but why is it not shown in the section describing it? While we're at it, when that tag is shown on a spell description it would be really great if it had alt-text or a link or something to the rules for rituals.
Similarly in the section describing Concentration we see:
If a spell must be maintained with concentration, that fact appears in its Duration entry, and the spell specifies how long you can concentrate on it. You can end concentration at any time (no action required).
No indication of how that fact appears or what to look for. Please show the C in the black diamond in this section so people know what to look for. And again, when encountering this symbol in other contexts it would be nice if it were a link or had alt-text or something to help indicate what it means.

This website does not write the books. That’s all done by a completely separate company caller Wizards of the Coast since they are the folks who actually publish D&D. This website is actually an online bookstore owned by Fandom that only sells digital D&D books. Asking about that here would be like asking Amazon why those symbols do not appear in the physical books. It is neither the retailer’s responsibility, nor privilege to edit another company’s published works. In fact, this website is required by contract to present things exactly as they applying the print versions. They are not even allowed to fix typos that slipped through editing. If the physical books were actually printed with the symbol as you described, then DDB would have included it already. Since WotC chose to not include that symbol in those descriptions, DDB cannot add them.
Your feedback would probably be best directed towards these folks, since they are the ones in charge of that stuff: https://dnd.wizards.com
It says it in the spell list. The symbols are also in the spell list.
The letters match the first letter of the condition/situation. They also tell you where to look for them. The symbols repeat on the character sheet in the spell list.

its dumb, now i have to go through my spell list again because it is not in the text.
Why do you have to go through your list again because it’s not in the text? When you add spells to your character sheet the symbols are displayed ext to the spell names.
The first sentence in the rules for rituals reads

I was not aware that this site was not operated by WotC, so thank you for the helpful information.
