I would like to be able to purchase individual backgrounds from adventure modules.
For example, I don't want the Strahd adventure module. But I like the Haunted One background. Now I could of course just Homebrew the content as I own the books and know what's in it. But I might rather spend $2 to not have to do that.
Any possibility you'll add this in the future?

I believe that backgrounds are purchasable for all the books that have them. They are for the Player's Handbook and Tomb of Annihilation. The haunted one background from Curse of Strahd is actually free and can be found in the character builder and background section.
A la carte / piecemeal purchasing (including backgrounds) was stopped in May/April 2023.

Other backgrounds can be purchased from the Player's Handbook in the marketplace (scroll down for individual purchases).
