So I have the Players Handbook, Monster Manual, and the Dungeon Masters guide in physical hardback books. Is there a way to enter a redeem code or something like that to add these to my digital library on the D&D Beyond app? If not then that means I would have to buy the books again in order to use the digitally.
There isn't. They've suggested it might become possible for new books in the future, but there's no way to verify purchases of old books.
Depending on what you want to do, the Basic Rules might be enough for you, possibly either buying things piecemeal or homebrewing things from the books to fill in the gaps. (And if you're joining somebody else's campaign, they'll often have books and content sharing.)

Looking to add mouse-over triggered tooltips to such things like magic items, monsters or combat actions? Then dash over to the How to Add Tooltips thread.
Another thread that might be useful to you is the buyer's guide linked in my signature. It runs through a variety of potential use scenarios, and suggests options for purchasing (or homebrewing) to fit those scenarios. My goal in creating the thread was to help people realize they had more options that just buying full books, depending on how they wanted to use DDB.
