Some pages like the monster, spell, or item pages show the source in the bottom right corner. On most of these, you will find "Basic Rules", since that is the free content that you can get from the WotC website. But there is also the "Elemental Evil Player's Companion", since that is freely available, too. All other content from the official books will be added after the beta when DDB is officially released.
I was editing while you were posting. It's there, but if you search for it, you go to the full description page, and on that full page, it doesn't mention it at all.
Totally true. I'll go ahead and throw a ticket in and we'll see where this goes. It would be nice to see what material we're looking at in the search options when it shows something of the race/class/magic item/etc nature.
Yeah, I think the FULL page also need to say where the information is from. It would be great on the full pages of information, under the header for what you are looking at it also said the source like it does out on the block - in the case of this example - in the race listing page. It would also be great if all items, monsters, races, classes etc had this. Once in live if the user has purchased into the not free stuff, they have the reference in case they want to know where it is in the printed books or the PDFs available.
Even another idea for the printing side of things, this reference would be awesome on the printout for DMs that have players that might use the PDF or books only.
Just my two coppers on this one. ;)

On the race page, or class page, or monster page, or magic item page, or other pages, is there a place that tells where the information came from?
If not, that would be a swell addition. So that I could go to that book in my vast D&D library and follow up a bit on the reading.

Yup - once the additional books are purchased, content from those will display a reference (and link back to the book's compendium)

I was specifically looking at [race]Aarakocra[/race]. And not seeing it there.
Also, intersting as I was looking for it, 2 things.
A) I couldn't search for it because I didn't know how to spell it. And the spelling has to be exact this definitely needs to be fixed for searching.
2) If you go to the Aarakocra race page, it has a subtitle of EEPG, but on the full page description, it doesn't give credit at all.
Here you go!
