I just want to ensure you all have thought through the Blacklist/Whitelist thing.
I'm hoping there will be a way to allow some of the Character Builder items to continue to be used for resources which are blacklisted.
As a GM I may want to black-list a source, but not the items, or not a specific item.
Example 1:
I (the GM) don't want my players to see anything other than character building stuff, so I blacklist all adventures. (In fact I'd submit that that would be the preferred default)
Does this mean that all items within the adventures are now blacklisted too? If they are, how to I whitelist a magic item they encounter later?
Example 2:
The GM wants all adventures blacklisted, but all items included, because +1 weapons alone are boring. BUT that near the end of the game Sword of Awesome Destruction from Evil Henchman #5 he wants hidden until they get to it.
Example 3:
The GM wants to turn off sharing any monsters, all adventures, turn on all items (blacklisting specific ones), allow backgrounds from a specific adventure, allow subclasses from one source, but not another, and turn off those goofy Luxodons.
Will we have this level of control?

Playtesting Fugare Draconis, an epic tale of adventure, loss, and redemption
My understanding (based on Badeye’s development updates, not from any inside info) is that the plan is to eventually allow that kind of granularity. I have the impression that the initial offering will be only at the book level.
I wish they'd have a middle step: separating access to Stuff from access to Text.
For example, it would be nice if I could allow the races and spells from Princes of the Apocalypse without my players being able to read the adventure. Well, that particular example is bad because I believe those are included in the Basic Rules by way of the free Elemental Evil Player's Compendium, but you get what I'm going for.
I have faith that the team will develop a comprehensive and usable solution.
We won't have full details on exactly how that works and what it does until the development is done and working.
Yes, the initial design could be shared with the community, but it will be an iterative design throughout the development process and ideas may be introduced or changed.
