I just dropped $300+ for the Legendary bundle and then notice you are showing a "gay pride" rainbow heart. This is for people to choose what they do but not companies. I dont want to see that when I go and play a game. It is a social issue. Think of it. You wouldnt want to see a "Black Lives Matter" under or next to the DND Beyond Logo would you? It's not for companies to promote or go against social issues.
Lost alot of respect and consider this for future purchases. Please consider removing.
If you lose respect for a company for showing support of the LGBT+ communities, then I'm going to go out on a limb and guess they don't care if they lose yours, or anyone elses with the same views, custom.
First, it is not just a heart, it is the fandom logo (parent company that bought curse).
Second, there is no reason companies can't show support for a [insert whatever] pride month (other than possibly taking a side on a divisive subject and alienating part of their consumer base resulting in the "get woke, go broke" phenomenon, but this isn't that).
You wouldnt want to see a "Black Lives Matter" under or next to the DND Beyond Logo would you?
Why not?
The movement where indignant white people killed cops and were a general nuisance to everyone? I would hope DDB is smart enough not to mess with that one and just stick with black history month.

Agreed. DDB, I'm proud of you. And I'm also an active subscriber and spent hundreds. I'll happily keep doing so :) 🏳️🌈

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad...
You must be living under a rock not to know that WotC and DDB are both extremely vocal in their support of the LGBT+ community, and that several employees of WotC are in fact part of it.
At your table, you are free to pretend anything you do not like does not exist, but other individuals and companies have the right and to some extent the DUTY to promote inclusion and respect in their hobby and products. You don't like it? Fair enough, you can keep pretending it doesn't exist, but don't you think for a second that you have any right to tell a company or anyone else they should not support and promote something that is harmless to you but so important for so many other people.
You most probably will not see any of the replies to this thread, and you might even have posted for trolling, but if that's what you come up with for attention, I am deeply sad for you.

Hello DDB (Not D&D. I'm talking to people not a game).
I bought the Legendary Bundle on the first sale and have purchased much more content since then. I pay 60$ a year for my characters list and the ability to share content with my players. I noticed the rainbow heart a couple of days ago.
That's great. It's good to see one of the leading forces in the D&D community be so supportive and inclusive. I want to see more of that when I go and play games. I don't think there is enough representation and more of it is always appreciated. This is a social issue. And, as a company supporting a huge community, it's great that you show respects even to the less visible parts of it. It's a good thing you thought about it. (Like you would show support for Black Lives Matter if it's important for the African community).
If big, influential companies we support as consumers won't stand on social issues, who else can we really rely on? Politicians? ,:)
If you remove that symbol, I will remember that when I consider future purchases.
Ignoring the details for a moment, we have here an entertainment company officially supporting a political issue. I happen to disapprove of that sort of thing. The problem is that it's also a moral issue, which makes it a bit . . . difficult for me to disapprove of someone--even a company--supporting the side I think is right. I hate it when this happens.

Generally speaking, it is better/smarter for company (and people closely associated with it) to not support, oppose, or comment on a divisive political or social topic. If you don't take a side, you can take money from both sides.
That said, it is just a logo color change. The movement is just spreading awareness, there is no political agenda to it (as far as I know).

Political issues are pretty much always moral issues. If the only thing politicians did was bikeshedding, it wouldn't matter who's in charge or which political party anyone supports.
@DxJxC I'd would rather companies be open with their leanings so I know who to support with my $/£/€. One of the reasons I like WotC is because they're openly inclusive. It's the companies who keep quiet and then funnel money into supporting lobbyist groups that I want to avoid.
@Mathias Supporting Pride (which is what the logo is about, it's Pride month) isn't a political issue. It does raise awareness of political issues surrounding the LGBT+ community, but Pride in of itself is no more a political issue than Black History Month or International Woman's Day. And you seem to be conflating companies expressing an affiliation with a certain leaning, political or otherwise, with them being directly involved in it. As I mentioned above, it's not the companies who say they support Pride, or the troops, or women in gaming that are the 'dangerous' ones. It's the ones who stay 'neutral' while, and I quote DxJxC here, "take money from both sides." and then use that money to quietly fund morally reprehensible organisations.
@DDB Good on you for showing your support for the LGBT+ community, as is depressingly evident from the existence of this thread, support like this for marginalised groups is a contentious issue. Rainbow Capitalism aside (which this is not), thank you for being a part of D&D's growing push to be an amazing, inclusive hobby.🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
I personally feel that defining the right to exist and the desire to not being oppressed, shunned, persecuted and demonised for it as a "political issue" is the issue itself. How can the will to feel safe and the freedom of being be an "issue"? I really cannot understand.
Because that's what that rainbow icon means, and that's what the constant support to the LGBT+ community from WoTC and the D&D team is aimed at, it has very little to do with anything categorisable as political. If there is one political side in favor, and one against, the problem is in itself that there are two sides on something that should be no-brainer.

Seconded, I'm down with that.
