So, just a little while go I took my first look into homebrew. What I noticed, is that there are hundreds and hundreds of pages of stuff to look through, way more than one reasonably should. Sure you have things like score, but I'm pretty sure that there are a bunch of things that get uploaded but never seen because its name doesn't start with an 'A'.
I wish there was a way to tag your creations so that other people could have an easier time looking for it. In advanced search options you can just click a few tag options available to narrow down your search. For example, genres like Comedy, Horror, and Sci-Fi. Or categories like Beast, Alien, Firearm. The possibilities are pretty endless. Sure, by the end, there might be a few hundred tags, but looking through a list of tags on one page is easier than hundreds of pages for one type of thing you're looking for.
Yeah homebrew is kind of a shit show (I don't think that is an exaggeration) and could really use more sort and filtering options besides how many likes it got... There are a few really good homebrew (sometimes even 2 on one page if you are lucky) and they could really use some help being found, especially if they haven't been public long.
It is because of this I never look at public homebrew, and because of that I have not had a real reason to subscribe (I have been on the edge of subscribing for a year, but have not yet needed content sharing or more character sheets either).
I wish we could search by adds, not just likes. I also wish that when I do find something I like that were easier to add those creators names to a shortlist of favorites or something too. Often I find that lighting strikes more than once for good homebrewers, and I love learning from others work.
