so l know that if you pay a monthly subscription fee you can have oo characters, but for those who dont have the funds for the monthly fee (which l know some would say is not much, but others would say its quite alot)
Anayways. my idea is this: make it so for $10 (or whatever you mods/owners feel is fair) allow a permanent + 10 to the character creation limit (or again, whatever you think is a fair price/limit boost balance)
and if they want more character slots, but dont want to subscribe, they can make another one time payment for another limit increase!
EDIT: so l just looked at the actual sub buying place, and right now its like $25-30 for a whole year for hero teir,so yeah....l dont think this will be used, and even l can admit that what i said above is dumb. so plz feel free to disreguard the above, even the poorest among us can likely pay $30 a year ($26 US,but $35 cad)
EDIT2: welp,l bit the bullet and "Became a hero". congrats Dnd beyond, you earned my $26-35 a year
Even with the cheap sub option, not everyone wants to renew EVERY year and personally there are way too many subscription services. I don't care to add another one when I strictly would use it for the character bump. Just saying, it can't hurt, especially when this would only up the limit and a sub would still give unlimited.
I can see then maybe going with adding single character slots at a cost of $1.99 (S) each. That is a normal charge for buying individual items from the Marketplace, so it might work.
Personally I'd rather go the subscription route since I use the builder to create NPC's from many of my campaigns. I prefer building NPC's this way than using monster blocks that aren't very customizable or homebrewing single use monsters/npc's using Homebrew. It is far, far easier.

Yeah, even the Master Tier subscription for DDB costs less than my X-Box Gold subscription annually.

I can certainly understand where you're coming from - I'll pass along this feedback.
