While making some custom actions recently, I noticed that there isn't anywhere to edit the note that would appear in the Actions (Names/ Range/ Hit/DC/ Damage/ Notes) list. There's the ability to add a "Description" that can be seen in the (information) panel when the action is selected/ being looked at. There's also the ability to add a "Snippet" that can be seen below the list of Actions (Names/ Range/ Hit/DC/ Damage/ Notes) under the action's name.
I'm just wondering why there isn't the ability to add a "Note" that's seen in the Actions list (Names/ Range/ Hit/DC/ Damage/ Notes)
Personal Example/ Issue: Magic item: Pearl of Power (Equipped) - has no action in the action lists (have to go into Inventory & check the box (to keep track of its use)) & can be forgotten as an action due to this fact. ( I understand it's the player's responsibility to keep track of such things, but I was trying to make it a tad easier)
***Create Custom Action Name: Pearl of Power Range: - (-, Melee, Ranged) (a "Self" (use "Self" string/ value) Range would be cool (either one, or both)) Range: 0 (redundant) (a "Self" (use -1 (unsigned)integer/ value) Range would be cool (either one, or both)) Activation Type: Action Display as Attack: True (Checked) Snippet: "While this pearl is on your person, you can use an action to speak its command word to regain one expended spell slot. If the expended slot was of 4th level or higher, the new slot is 3rd level. Once you use the pearl, it can't be used again until the next dawn." (Copied from Item Description from it's (information) panel) Description: "1 Charge, Buff, Utility" (Copied from Item Notes from the Equipment tab) *Note: "1 Use (1/1)" (If the ability to edit "Notes" is added)
~*(Also, the ability to deselect Display as Attack & have the custom action still show up in the Actions: Action tab actions list would be awesome.)*~ Currently while Display as Attack is selected, custom actions show up on the Actions: All, Actions: Attack & Actions: Action tabs. When deselected, the custom actions don't show up in the list (Names/ Range/ Hit/DC/ Damage/ Notes), but show up below the list where their Snippet is displayed below the action's name & also still show up under the Actions: Attack tab (below the list, where mentioned) - I feel it would make more sense if having Display as Attack: False (deselected) remove the entries from the Attack tab all together, & a separate checkbox if the entries will be displayed in the list (Names/ Range/ Hit/DC/ Damage/ Notes) of Actions: Action (or the tab of whichever activation type it is).
~*(A checkbox/ option to add the custom action to the Actions: Limited Use tab would be helpful)*~
~*(Overall, an idea to add a Custom Actions type labeled "Item" that has the ability to edit like mentioned above, might be the better route to pursue this, but having more flexibility for "General" isn't a bad idea either.)*~
EDIT: Using the "Spells" Custom Action type I was able to set the "Range" using "Spell Range Type" to "Self"
I think you're at the limit of Custom Actions. I know you can create a homebrew item that gives you to access to the Limited Use function you're looking for.

I was looking for this exact problem, adding a Pearl of Power to Actions. From this post I learned about creating custom actions which is great.
+1 that having a checkbox appear to show if the charge has been used would make this more useful.
