Today's update contains several new additions to the character sheet, including new options for custom defenses and senses.
Additions:
You can now customize the Armor Class of your character. You can do this by either overriding the AC completely, or updating the various individual pieces that calculate your character's AC.
You can also add damage/condition immunities, vulnerabilities, and resistances to your character outside of any granted from items, racial benefits, feats, etc.
You can now also override your character's Passive Perception, along with adding custom values to Blindsight, Darkvision, Tremorsense, and Truesight, along with selecting which of them display at the top of your character sheet.
Fixes:
Fixed issue with view counts carrying over from official content into homebrew on create.
In order that these lovely changes don't get missed, is there any chance that the top menu bar (ie next to the notifications indicator) could have a button that tells you when the changelog has been updated, or the ability to subscribe to the changelog so that any updates pop up in the notification area?
Not really what I was after - want something that does not require me to download/install additional apps on my devices, so native to the website. Like the forum subscribe option (under the Tools dropdown) that tells you in the notification pane of any updates to subscribed threads.
Or even - gods forbid - an actual link somewhere to the changelog. Like on the menu bar or the home page.
I've asked several times for this, I had a response from Hartless once that subscribing to it like we can forum posts or people wasn't really possible.
edit: honestly i also don't see what's hard about putting a link to the changelog in the footer or header, but I too would love that....Instead my "workaround" is following every staff member. Honestly, this is probably a "better" solution than following the changelog if to you want to know what actually changes, because most fixes aren't posted in the changelog anyway, they are just posted in forum posts that report bugs, rather than having a compiled list for us to view. Other companies like Blizzard (I know, huge company vs like <10 on DNDBeyond) actually share the bug fixes implemented in the changelogs. They fix might go through immediately, before the changelog is released, but it's still accounted for there, as to notify the masses. Here, it seems most fixes are just mentioned as I stated, in the forum post that notifies them of the issue. The new features get posted to the changelog.
So, in order to see what gets fixed, hope you follow the right people ;)
I don't understand why the don't just put it in the announcements area. That's where the posted updates before the changelog went live. Since there's no regular update schedule I don't check the change log often.
I've been using VisualPing to monitor the changelog page, which sends me an email whenever the page changes but having a direct link and/or notification icon on the homepage would be incredibly useful.

How to add Tooltips
You can subscribe to the changelog using an RSS reader: http://www.dndbeyond.com/changelog.rss.
Also, if you want, they have an RSS feed for the front page posts: http://www.dndbeyond.com/posts.rss.
How to add Tooltips
Until a link is added, you can select all the devs and follow them. Then you get a notification when they post something, even changelogs.
I've asked if we can add a link to the change log somewhere. I've suggested in the page footer, under the support section of the quick links.

For those who haven't noticed yet, they have recently added a Changelog button to the top menu bar (next to the Notifications bell)
