The phrasing in Xanathar's Guide to Everything seems to imply that the default spell granted by the Divine soul can be replaced, however the class feature doesn't allow it.
"In addition, choose an affinity for the source of your divine power: good, evil, law, chaos, or neutrality. You learn an additional spell based on that affinity, as shown below. It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the cleric spell list."
I see. To be honest, it seems pretty easy to just add a box with a spell choice into the class feature (that's what I did for a homebrew version of the class). Having a "default" spell based on the choice of affinity is harder of course, but also not really necessary. Frankly, the rule itself is phrased quite poorly - the source of the power is not binding in any way and therefore should have been phrased as a suggestion rather than a requirement imho

Hi,

It's a known issue. no word on how long it will take to address; apparently it is more complicated than it looks from the outside.
