DNDBeyond does not calculate criticals for Initiative rolls (I just tested it). Are you using a 3rd party extension like Beyond20? If so - you'll need to take it up with them.
RAW - only attack rolls and death saving throws can be criticals.
Well - like I said - I tested it - and I just did it again by equipping the Sentinel Shield. Not only does DNDBeyond not roll initiative at advantage for me even with the shield equipped - it doesn't critical either.
Are you certain you're not using an extension like Beyond20?
Edit: I noticed the roll is not listed as "Initiative: ROLL" in the screenshot - it's "Custom: ROLL" - which means you're not actually rolling initiative - you're using a manual or custom roll and that will be the issue. If it were a proper Initiative roll it would show something like this:

If any third party extensions are being used they will spit out custom rolls into the log of the game.

My initiative is +3. I rolled a natural 20. DNDBeyond calculated that as 20 + 6. Is this a glitch or was it meant to happen.

This is DND Beyond's numbers.
I have a sentinal shield that lets me roll initiative with advantage.

Two things:
-it would help if you posted the url link to your character so we could see it
-are you by any chance using any browser extensions, particularly Beyond20 or the like?
