Im creating a Aarakocra Wizard 5 for a player in my campagin. But when im adding the spells its only allowing me 4 cantrips and 1 lvl 1 2 and 3 spell.. I read in the hand book that a lvl 5 wizard gets 4 lvl 1 spells.
Idk if im just wrong and being stupid or whats up... but all i know is that the website isnt allowing me to add but 1 spell to each lvl...
A level 5 wizard has 4 level 1 spell slots, which is how many times they can cast a spell at first level. How many spells you know, and how many you can prepare, are different from how many spell slots you have.
At 5th level, you will have a minimum of 14 spells in your spellbook: the 6 you get at level 1, and the 2 you get for free each level. How many spells you can prepare each day, out of that spellbook, to cast that day, depends on your INT modifier: "Choose a number of wizard spells from your spellbook equal to your Intelligence modifier + your wizard level (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots." So if you have +3 INT and you're a level 5 wizard, you can prepare 8 spells. You can pick any mix of level 1, 2, and 3 spells from your spellbook to prepare, but you can only actually cast them if you have the relevant spell slot available.
So check and make sure you have all the spells you should know in your spellbook, before going ahead and preparing spells.
i already know all this -_- im asking why that isnt working? iv had 5 people check and these people have been playing for years and its still not working. we have try re making the sheet and it still wont let us do more then 4 spells on a lvl 5 wizard
Just trying to get clarity on which part you're having a problem with -- getting spells into the spellbook, versus preparing spells in the spellbook. DDB makes you do both separately, so there are different things which might cause the issue.
Please provide a link to the sheet here so mods can take a look. Use the URL, not the link provided by the 'share' feature.
First your Wizard needs to Learn spells. A 5th-level Wizard would have gotten 4 1st-level spells at Wizard 1 and 2 more 1st-level spells at Wizard 2, to put into their spellbook. At Wizard 3 they can add 2 more spells of 1st or 2nd level to their spellbook, and then 2 more at Wizard 4, and finally at Wizard 5 you can finally add 2 3rd-level spells.
You probably knew all that, but in any case, you'd likely have at least 6 1st-level spells, 4 2nd-level spells, and 2 3rd-level spells as a Wizard 5.
Now, in DDB under Manage Spells, start in the Add Spells part. This is where you will pick which spells to Learn and have in your Spellbook.
Once you've done that, go to the Spellbook part. Here you can select which spells to Prepare for the day. Once you've Prepared spells, they will show up in the Spells section on your character sheet. You'll also see any not-prepared ritual spells that you Learned for your Spellbook, since you're able to cast them from the book.

right i understand all this cause i have people who have been playing DND for years and who have used yall site for years look at it. When i go to manage spells and i click add spell or learn or whatever it says. I click it and that little thing pops up and says that "this spell has been added" but no spell on the sheet. All spells work for everyone else but they wont work for the one account in my campagin. its like all his spells are bugged.
like i stated from the beginning, When i try to add a spell to my spell book on the sheet, it says it adds it but it wont show up. And when i try to go into the edit sheet and do it there, it still doesnt work. I can get 4 cantrips but when it comes to lvl 1 and 2 and 3. It will only let me have 2, lvl 1 spells and 1 for the others.
Wizards work differently from other spellcasters, in that you first Learn a spell (add it to your spellbook), and then Prepare it. In the character sheet, on the Spells tab, click on Manage Spells to pop out the sidebar. Under Wizard, there should be 3 sections: Add Spells, Prepared Spells, and Spellbook. It sounds like you've gone to Add Spells and Learned the 4 cantrips, as well as spells of levels 1 to 3.
Now, go to the Spellbook section. There you will see all the non-cantrip spells that you added in Add Spells. Click Prepare on each spell you want the Wizard to be able to cast with spell slots that day. Once you have Prepared spells, they will show up in your Spells tab in the character sheet.

It sounds like you haven't prepared any of these spells. Spells -》Manage Spells -》Spellbook - any spells you've added from the Add Spells sub menu should be listed here. To the right is a button that will say Prepare, click it.

Just copy and paste the URL from the browser, an image would not be helpful to the moderating team, they will need to review your character sheet directly to asses the issue.
Image insertion requires hosting on an external website, such as Imgur, and copying only the image URL.
However, can you post just the link to the character sheet? The actual URL, not the share link. This will allow mods and staff/admins to view the character sheet and potentially diagnose any problems.

The process is the same, whether you're doing this in the Character Builder (on the Class page, under the Spells section of Wizard) or from the character sheet (clicking Manage Spells from the Spells tab):
Open the Add Spells section and pick all of the spells to add to your Spellbook. (Note that you can only learn a certain number of cantrips; you will only be adding spells of 1st level or higher to your Spellbook.)
...Is it possible that your player has their sheet open and is making changes at the same time that you are trying to manage their spells? You could each be overwriting each others' changes. If they aren't reloading the browser page with their character sheet after you've added spells, and make their own changes, then that will erase the spells you added.
The upshot is, for both you and player, always reload the character sheet browser page before making changes.

Right, so at the moment, you have added no spells in your Spellbook, and will need to follow naruhoodie's instructions:
The process is the same, whether you're doing this in the Character Builder (on the Class page, under the Spells section of Wizard) or from the character sheet (clicking Manage Spells from the Spells tab):
