I have bought some books here on dndbeond (core rulebook, dm guide, monster manual and curse of strahd). I have recently been able to look at the book version of CoS, and it seams to me that it contains more artwork than the version on dndbeond. Is there a reason for this?
Without a specific location/page, the staff can't check if there is missing artwork.
As far as I know, DDB's Compendium should have all the artwork.
It is a bit hard to be specific, as I do not own the book myself, only the content on dndbeyond. But what I did notis is that in appendix D: Monster and NPCs, the book had a lot more depictions of characters than dndbeyond.
FWIW, in Princes of the Apocalypse you can find every artwork somewhere. For nearly all cases at the same point as in the book. DndBeyond even has extra artwork in form of the extra player maps (unfortunately it misses the corrected maps for the erratas, but I think you can only get them directly from mike schley).
For some artwork you need to look into places like the Afterword, where you'd probably never go if you don't know that there is a bunch of artwork there. But in the book it is also at that position, but of course it is easier to stumble upon it.

Do you mean credits? Anyway there is no artwork there
If I'm not mistaken, isn't some of the Player's Handbook art missing? Particularly some of the full-page pieces like page 10 of the physical book (and maybe page 11 too).
I'm not 100% sure, I'm probably at least partially mistaken, but I don't remember seeing the page 171, 172, 180, or 199 art on Beyond either. I don't see them relocated to the appendix or credits or anything. Has anybody else noticed?

Pardon if this is in the wrong place

It's worth noting that the artwork isn't always in the same place in the compendium, due to layout restrictions.
Also, where you see full page artwork in the physical books, you may only see part of the image used on a page in D&D Beyond.

Was there ever any feedback on this? Do we not get all the art included in the physical books on DnD Beyond?
Rykath, the last time I checked some of the art (particularly the full-page pieces) was still missing.
Those pieces of art were transformed into the background image/border for the chapter.
It's something we plan to resolve when we're able to go back and rebuild those books.
