Normally, when a PC goes to zero hp and fails three death saves, a "Restore Life" option appears to revive them with full health or to revive them with 1hp. When my character took enough damage to kill them outright, no "Restore Life" options appeared.
All was fixed when I used the HP manager and just gave my character 1hp.
I assume this is a bug? If not, why are we only given the option to "Restore Life" to our characters when they fail their death saves and aren't killed outright?
Well their dead so . . . . . . you can't really restore life that, unless you have the revivify or resurrections spell. Also that might take to much to code on for beyond. Plus you can just click long rest and adjust manually I guess.

I understand that there are work-arounds. If DnDBeyond are going to offer the "Restore Life" option after 3 failed death saves, they should also offer the option after hitting negative max HP.
I can't replicate this bug. Whenever i deal double-max dmg (even tested with 10x) it still lets me "bring them back" and even if I use 3 failed death saves.
Worse case scenario just click HP and in sidebar that opens just "heal" 1 HP. And they're back up. No need to go into character builder or anything.
Either I am misinterpreting your issue or you have a bug specific to your setup. I will advise I have only tested on my laptop using Chrome and Firefox browsers. I haven't bothered with other testing beyond this.

Thank you for providing those characters, the side by side comparison helps. I'll pass this feedback along (please don't delete these characters for the time being if you can)

This seems a browser thing.

I'm on chrome. I just tested it again and get the same results. I've posted links to screenshots of what I see.
Negative Max Damage
3 failed saves
Can you provide a link to the affected character? I'm not seeing this issue on my characters so I'm wondering if it might be character specific
