I want to select Aarakocran for the extra language for my Mark of the Storm Half-Elf but I'm not seeing it as an option in the character builder. Is there a reason for it's absence or is that a mistake?
That's not player-accessible language. There are a few that are like that that are unique to monsters. Auran would be the language to learn if you wanted to speak Aarakocra
Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the explanation, I wonder if my DM will let me add it anyway since it's built into her backstory. I don't see Auran as an option either.
Auran is a dialect of Primordial, think like British English v American English. So you'd have to take primordial as your language. Sorry for not mentioning that before.
