I'm setting up Encounters in the Combat Tracker for a game tonight. I realized that in my VTT, I will need to match up monster from the map to monsters in the tool. So I've started doing test encounter runs to see how it orders them. The first encounter I ran...all the monsters number exactly as I had expected (A), (B) for one type then (A), (B) for the second type of monster.
But then in my second encounter, which included 4 Giant frogs as the foes, when I ran the encounter - the tool assigned each frog the letters (B), (C), (D), (F)!!!
What is going on? What's with identification not starting with A and then skipping E. I'm so confused and I need to add these letters to my VTT so I know which frog is which when referring back to the Combat Tracker.
