I'm looking at some things and if you multiclass can you take multiple fighting styles when you level up in both of them? Say you have one level in warrior and 2 in ranger can you take archery in both style selections and get a +4 on ranged attacks?
The rule in Player’s Handbook p.72 and p. 91 say for Fighting style: “You can’t take a Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again.” That means (as Josh said in comments) that you can’t take the same Fighting style more than once.
So yes you can take two combat styles but not the same twice.
edit: confirmed - this is indeed a bug. Good work catching that one for us!
Same thing for multi classing, still present. One of my players found it out today.

It is definitely a bug - or rather - a lack of having implemented the restriction. The Fighting Style rules specifically say you cannot take the same style twice - even if you are allowed to choose another Fighting Style from another feature.
I was building a champion fighter, and noticed at 10th level, the character builder allowed me to select Archery again. I will send the character sheet share link upon request.

no, you can't stack the same ability with itself, even if it's gained from different classes.
You can however do what you described and take different fighting styles, so you could take archery style from one and defense style from the other.

So this "feature" is still available, is it still a bug?
Or was it intended as a rule for the champion, which gets another fighting style at lvl 10, so he couldnt choose the same style again?
Seems odd that you cant get the synergy from two different classes when so many other stuff works when multiclassing.

This bug also isn't present only for multi-classing. I'm able to select the same fighting style twice for a pure fighter champion.

Now in March, bug is still alive and well
The reason this bug exists is because styles are coded as feature options not a separate list that all features pull from and prevent taking multiple.
Hey, just in case nobody mentioned it, there's still a bug with this.
